About TLSU

TLSU is here to help every student make the most of their time at Trinity Laban by:

  • Promoting the interests and welfare of Students during their course of study and representing, supporting and advising Students.
  • Being the recognised representative channel between Students, the University and any other external bodies.
  • Providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its Students
  • Fostering and encouraging freedom of speech and taking measures to encourage and build a student community which celebrates the diversity of its members.

Trinity Laban Students’ Union is run by a paid sabbatical officer (the President), and voluntary sabbatical officers (the officers) who are supported by what is called the Sub-Team. We are governed by a document called a constitution which sets out how we operate and gives us a framework to work by.

The whole team is elected once a year in May, or by by-election at any time to fill an empty position.

We are here to help you make the most of your time at Trinity Laban by supporting you academically, with any issues or just helping you have have a great time socially.

Every student automatically becomes a member of the union when they start at TL. If you want to find out more about what we do and get involved please drop us an email or come and find us in one of our offices at King Charles Court (KCC) or the Cottages at Creekside (next to the Laban Building).

We’d love to hear from you – we’re here to help and support you and are at our most effective when working on causes that matter to you, the student body.
