SUMMARY:Dance Class - Georgia Chapman
DESCRIPTION:Musical Theatre Jazz with Georgia Chapman\nLaban Studio 8\nClass Description\nOn the 28th of January I would love to come in and lead a musical theatre/jazz dance workshop with the Trinity Laban Students. I will start the class with a thorough 20 minute warmup including cardio\, stretching and strengthening ensuring that every dancer is in the optimum mental and physical state to bring their best to the class. I will then start teaching the choreography as I want to ensure the dancers have plenty of time to properly learn every aspect of the routine and feel really comfortable. I will break the choreography down into smaller sections so they have a chance to add each element on to the next with music and this will give them plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Once the routine is learnt\, I would love to use the last 15/20 minutes of the class as a showcase opportunity where the dancers can perform the choreography in smaller groups. I believe this is an invaluable part of a class as it brings an audition element but in a safe and secure environment where the dancers do not need to worry about making mistakes. \nBio\nI graduated from Bird College in 2021 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. After graduating\, my first professional job was with UK Productions in ‘Beauty and The Beast’ where I performed in the role of The Enchantress\, Dance Captain and ensemble. I then went on to perform as a dancer onboard the AIDA Nova for 7 months before embarking on the AIDA Cosma for a further 6 months. After this\, I joined the cast of ‘London Never Dies’ at The London Cabaret Club which led onto my next contract in the original cast of ‘Roxie Rocks Chicago’ also at The London Cabaret Club. Alongside my professional work\, I continue to train weekly and have been an active member of the House of Jazz Company for the past 3 years.

SUMMARY:Dance Class - Thomas Page
DESCRIPTION:Floorwork with Thomas Page\nLaban Studio 10\nClass Description\nEasing into the class\, we’ll start with a gentle floor-based warm-up using the breath to support soft articulations of the body.  \nContinuing on the floor we will move through a series of exercises that incorporate an exploration of puzzles\, playfulness\, and preparations to build towards a longer phrase with a focus on maximising movement.   \nTypes of moves you can expect include spinal articulations\, knee work\, and a penguin slide…or two!  \nDancers will be encouraged and supported to find their individual flow in class\, allowing the taught movement to be digested in a way that works best for them.   \nPlease wear long sleeves\, long trousers\, and if you can bring knee pads with you! \nBio\nThomas Page (He/They) is a Queer Independent Dance Artist based in Oxford and Artistic Director of Thomas Page Dances (TPD).
