Dance Class with Marina Collard
Studio 2 Laban Building
Marina is an independent choreographer, performer and teacher. She has made a body of work, presented in theatres and galleries in the UK and abroad. Her work involves collaborating with artists from different disciplines including the 18 year creative partnership with film maker Tom Paine which informed her choreographic practice. As a performer she has worked for ceramicist Claire Twomey, Florence Peake, Dog Kennel Hill Project, Carol Brown Dances, CandoCo, Joe Moran among others. Marina teaches in professional and educational settings both nationally and internationally.
Marina is a biodynamic craniosacral therapist working at Trinity Laban Health Clinic since 2010 treating dancers and non-dancers and more recently at HQ Therapy Rooms Hackney. Her treatment approach is informed by her career in dance and her own experience of receiving a wide range of treatments throughout that time. Marina enjoys working both as a dance artist and therapist as she finds that each of those practices informs the other and enriches, as well as deepens, her curiosity about the body.
