The Positions You Can Run For

  • We’re looking for individuals to come forward and run TLSU for another year. There are 5 positions to run for so that every student at TL is represented and has a voice as best as possible. The winning candidates will form part of the TLSU Executive Committee and hold their positions from August 1st 2024 to July 31st 2025.So let’s get straight into the details!

➡️The President

There’s one full time, paid position – the President. The salary for the year is £24,000. This is a crucial role that brings all of TLSU and the team together. If you’re looking to make a difference for a year, you have some great ideas, love a party or organising stuff (or preferably both!) and want to get paid at the same time – this is the position for you.

➡️Officers

There are also four Officers which cover the TLSU Executive Team each covering a different element of the SU. Of course everyone can pitch in and come up with great ideas, but it’s good to have an area to focus on that’s all yours. The officer positions are as follows:

  • The Secretary
  • The Quartermaster
  • Welfare Officer
  • Brand and Communications Officer

For The Secretary, TLSU operates as a separate organisation to Trinity Laban and have a lot of tasks that need to be accomplished, the Secretary will support all other officers, sub-team reps and The President and SU Administrator in the day to day running of the Student Union. If you have a thing for admin, think you’re really organised and like helping out, this is the position for you!

We then have the Quartermaster and Welfare Officer. Party planning will be important for you as well as stock management and coming up with amazing forward thinking ideas, but so will sitting on a couch having coffee and talking about problems, signposting students-in-need to help and much more.

We then have our Brand and Communications Officer. You will be responsible for everything the Student body and wider see on our socials, working closely with the SU Administrator to ensure brand continuity within TLSU and ensuring everything that goes out is clear, effective, exciting and sticks within our guidelines. It will be your job to ensure everyone knows what’s going on with TLSU. It’s a big one but anyone with a love of social media, graphics or TikTok should definitely go for this one.

All officer positions are critical to the smooth operation of the SU. You’ll liaise with your fellow students to get feedback on how everything is going and report back to the rest of the TLSU. Together, you’ll make a plan to run events, parties, classes and anything you can think of.

➡️The Presidency

  • President of TLSU (full-time & paid a salary of . £24,000 for the year)

➡️TLSU Executive Officers

  • The Secretary
  • The Quartermaster
  • Welfare Officer
  • Brand and Communications Officer

Officers are voluntary positions but are eligible for a performance-based honorarium every term. This is £400 for Officer’s and a post performance review honorarium for the Sub-Team.
