Class Description

This class will be a mix of contemporary, hip hop, and theatre styles. Suitable for all levels and styles, we will explore intentionality and creativity within movement creating dynamic stories through dance.

After a quick warm up we will work on musicality and intentionality using a variety of improvisational activities. For the remainder of class we will learn a section of contemporary hip hop theatre choreography focusing on choreography retention, clear improvisational/ stylistic choices, and performance quality.

Bio

Keith “K. Alexander” Corprew is a first year in the MFA Creative Practice: Transdisciplinary programme at Trinity Laban and the 2022-2023 Fulbright Scholar. His choreographic and performance journey started in Atlanta, Ga where he was a member of several dance theater and professional companies. His professional experiences range from commercial work in music videos and film to stage work and work within the higher education sector.
