List of Current Societies

TLSU has a number of student-led societies and clubs. Joining an activity group is one of the best ways to get involved in student life, meet new people, keep up with extracurricular activities and, of course, have a great time at TL!

Our societies are all have an elected committee, a constitution to guide how they are run, and sign an agreement every year to ensure their activities are accessible to all students.

If you are interested in joining a society and can’t find the correct contact details below please get in touch with us.

Apollo Consort

The Apollo Consort Contemporary Music Society has been formed to promote the music of living composers and the performers who play it. We do termly projects where we form a scratch ensemble out of those available and perform music written for us by Trinity Laban composers and, once safe, we will be starting up monthly contemporary music nights where members can perform to a welcoming and encouraging audience. Anyone interested in the curation, performance, or composition of new music should get in touch – regardless of experience. We are particularly interested in providing a safe space from people who have not yet had the chance to really throw themselves into contemporary music, or for people who want to do more on their second or third study disciplines.

Trinity Laban Session Orchestra

TL’s very own answer to LMTO – the TL Session Orchestra usually puts on regular playthroughs of scores straight from the West End and Broadway, and also looks at various other commerical music too. Unfortunately, covid has put a spanner in the works, but we hope to get back together as soon as possible. The aim of the group is to practise scores and develop rep, and there’s an expectation of standards, but also we just want to have fun! If you want to stay in the loop join our Facebook page for updates, drop Meg an email!
