Our Get on The Fresh Events

Saturday 2nd	Move In Day ~ Come and meet your SU team while you’re moving in to collect or buy your freshers wristbands and get your free freshers bag with lots of handy information and goodies. Welcome Drinks The Duke From: 19:00 ~ Only a stone’s throw from halls you’ll be spending a lot of time here at The Duke. Meet your fellow freshers with drinks deals and music from singer and burlesque artist Leela’s Parade.
Sunday 3rd	Sunday Funday Feast Laban Building 18:00-22:00 ~ Food, music and cheap drinks on the Laban green. What else are you gonna do with your Sunday? Free to attend but bring some cash for food and the bar!
Monday 4th	Dirrty Disney North Pole South Pole From: 19:30 ~ Beauty has had her beast, Snow White has a dwarf for every day of the week and Peter Pan has finally grown up. Forget your ball gowns for this one, we want to see your best Disney character getting down and dirrty. Cheap drinks and shisha all night. Price on the door without a wristband: £6
Tuesday 5th	Freshers’ Fair Laban Building 10:00-16:00 ~ A day chock full of societies, freebies, pizza, unions, contacts in the industry and more. Did we mention free stuff? Free to attend. Jazz Jam Oliver’s Jazz Bar From: 19:30 ~ Whether you’re on the jazz course or not this is a great night with Trinity Laban students and alumni getting jazzy. Feel free to bring instruments and get involved. Price on the door without a wristband: £5
Wednesday 6th	When I Grow Up Pub Crawl Starting at The Bar Downstairs 18:00 ~ We all had dreams as kids, some bigger than others. What did you want to be? Come dressed in your childhood profession outfit for fun and frolicking in local Greenwich pubs. With games, drinks deals and free drinks on arrival in the final pub with music until 3am, we’ll help you reminisce your juvenile fantasies. Free to attend.
Thursday 7th	Hangover Yoga Studio 11 12:00 ~ Stretch out your weary legs and beat your hangover with a yoga class to cleanse your soul. All expertly guided by ex-TL student Charlotte Bilcliffe. Quiz The Bar Downstairs Bar from 18:00 / Quiz at 19:00 ~ It might not be crazy, but everyone needs a night off right? Come test if you’ve got any brain cells left before they completely go at the weekend. Cheap drinks from your SU bar. Price on the door without a wristband: £2
Friday 8th	Casino Night Blackheath Halls 19:00 – till late ~ Gamble in your glad rags. Get glammed up for an evening with the full casino experience, roulette wheels, craps, black jack, live music, discounted drinks and don’t worry the chips are free. Price on the door without a wristband: £15. First 50 on the door £10
Saturday 9th	Alex West EP Launch The Duke 20:30 ~ Our very own Trinity Laban singer-songwriter launches his brand new EP with fellow students and alumni. Always a crowd pleaser, this little Leicestershire lad will be sure to get you up on your feet.

Monday 11th	“Don’t Get Fresh With Me” Drag Night Hosted by Calamity Vain Up The Creek Comedy Club Doors: 19:00 Show: 20:00 ~ Your SU President like you’ve never seen them before. Back by popular demand your president’s alter ego, Calamity Vain, takes to the stage with her fabulous Vainette backing singers for a drag night you won’t forget. With performances from drag sensation Fagulous and Trinity Laban students you won’t want to miss it. Oh, and don’t forget your glitter darling. Price on the door without a wristband: £10 / £8 concession.
Tuesday 12th	Hangover Yoga Studio 9 11:00 ~ Stretch out your weary legs and beat your hangover with a yoga class to cleanse your soul. Secret Cinema Night Studio Theatre, Laban Building 19:30 ~ We’re keeping this one under our hats for now, but we’ll be releasing the film a week before to let you scrabble around in your wardrobe for an outfit. But don’t worry, it’s sexy, ghoulish and brash. Cheap drinks from your SU bar. Free to attend.
Wednesday 13th	Live Band Karaoke The Bar Downstairs 19:30-22:00 ~ Karaoke backing tracks are so not conservatoire. Come perform your favourite songs with Sam Jewison’s live band instead. We’ve got sheet music at the ready, but feel free to bring your own too. Price on the door without a wristband: £3
Thursday 14th	Ahoy There Fresher The Bar Downstairs + Greenwich Pier Drinks reception: 18:30 Boat boarding: 19:30 ~ A swanky boat party along the Thames with live music and a free drinks reception beforehand. A freshers favourite this event has been featured for years. London may not be Miami, but attending this sophisticated event it sure will feel like it. Wristband for boat party only: £22
Friday 15th	A Day In The Life Of Trinity Laban Laban Theatre Drinks afterwards at The Duke 19:00-21:00 ~ Trinity Laban invites new and returning students to come and enjoy a spectacular showcase of artistic activity from our community, celebrating the start of the year by sharing what we do best! This year’s performance highlights include: opera, new choreography, chamber music collaborations, jazz, folk music, shapeshifter ensemble, dance improvisations, new compositions and musical theatre orchestra. Free, but must get tickets from Laban Box Office.
Saturday 16th	Post Grad Cocktails The Bar Downstairs 19:00 – late ~ Meet your fellow Postgraduate padres. It might not be a swanky bar, but who wants to pay £9 for a cocktail?
Sunday 17th	Rest up before your first lectures tomorrow…!
