Nominations for this years TLSU Election are now open.
We’re looking for individuals to come forward and run TLSU for another year. There are 2 senior positions to run for so that every student at TL is represented and has a voice as best as possible. The winning candidates will form part of the TLSU Executive Committee and hold their positions from July 1st 2026 to July 31st 2027. So let’s get straight into the details!
The President
There’s one full time, paid position – the President. The salary for the year is determined at the AGM but this year it was £24,480. This is a crucial role that brings all of TLSU and the team together. If you’re looking to make a difference for a year, you have some great ideas, love a party or organising stuff (or preferably both!) and want to get paid at the same time – this is the position for you.
The Vice President
There is also The Vice President which is a part of the executive team. TLSU operates as a separate organisation to Trinity Laban and have a lot of tasks that need to be accomplished, the VP will support all officers, sub-team reps and The President and SU Administrator in the day to day running of the Student Union. Alongside sitting on the Trinity Laban Board of Governors, supporting societies and managing lockers alongside other things. If you have a thing for admin, think you’re really organised and like helping out, this is the position for you! This is an honorarium position . Plus you’ll step in for the President if they are off.
Both the President and VP positions are critical to the smooth operation of the SU. You’ll liaise with your fellow students to get feedback on how everything is going and report back to the rest of the TLSU. Together, you’ll make a plan to run events, parties, classes and anything you can think of.
The Presidency
The Vice Presidency
The President is a contracted position with a minimum commitment per week. The winning candidats will sign a contract of employment with TLSU
