Class Description

With a somatic approach to hip-hop techniques, this class will make you feel grounded and energised.

The perfect balance of contemporary dance (Release, Flying Low, Contact Improv) and street dance (Popping, Locking, Breaking) techniques will make you feel invigorated and explorative.

Flow, musicality, playfulness and surprise are key elements of the class.

Expect partner work, improv, drills and routines!

Bio

Simone is a dance artist, musician, social entrepreneur, author and public speaker.

He taught for many companies and institutions including NSCD, LCDS, New Adventures, Rambert, DanceWest and many more.

Twice TEDx Speaker.

Awarded in the Universal Hip Hop Museum Hall of Fame for the contribution to Hip Hop Culture.

Founder of Popping for Parkinson’s, a project that transforms Parkinson’s patients into Popping dance students.

BA in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

MSc in Dance Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire.
